Therapy Services

Some patients receiving hospice care from Stillwater Hospice may need support relearning the skills that make everyday life possible.

When a medical condition affects independence—such as after a stroke—simple tasks like holding utensils, getting dressed, or communicating clearly can become challenging. Our team steps in to help patients regain as much function, confidence, and comfort as possible.

When medically appropriate, our clinical team may incorporate therapies such as occupational, physical, or speech-language therapy. These services are thoughtfully integrated to support strength, coordination, communication, and overall quality of life.

The goal is not perfection—it’s empowerment.

It’s helping patients maintain independence where they can, adapt where they need to, and continue engaging in daily life in ways that feel meaningful and manageable.

In addition to clinical care, trained volunteers may offer supportive, complementary therapies for both patients and caregivers on a case-by-case basis—extending comfort, connection, and an extra layer of care when it matters most.
