Hestia Stillwater in Missoula, Montana—where the heart of community-based care meets the strength of statewide support.

This dedicated team carries forward the legacy of Hestia Hospice, a beloved locally owned program known for its spiritual depth, close-knit team, and unwavering commitment to caring for people like family. With the addition of Hestia, Stillwater Hospice has deepened its roots in Western Montana—expanding our ability to deliver the highest quality end-of-life care to more individuals and families across the region.

This team knows the Missoula community well—having sat at bedsides in the Rattlesnake and walked alongside families through the Bitterroot. They've been present during some of life's most tender moments, offering comfort, clarity, and presence when it mattered most. That intimate knowing of place and people continues to be a guiding light.

Our Missoula agency is also proud to be the first Stillwater Hospice location to offer Community-Based Palliative Care—a natural extension of our hospice mission and a vital support for those facing serious illness, even when they are not yet hospice-eligible. Our palliative care team walks beside patients and families earlier in their journey, helping to manage symptoms, navigate medical choices, and align care with personal goals. It's about improving quality of life, honoring what matters most, and providing support long before the final chapter begins.

We are committed to ensuring that our rural communities can access the Medicare benefits they have earned, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

When we say we go the extra mile, we genuinely mean it. Whether it involves showing up after hours or holding a family's hand during a crisis, our team is dedicated to being there when it matters most.

Stillwater Hospice blends compassionate small-town care with clinical excellence and strong support throughout Montana. Whether facing a recent diagnosis or exploring options, our team is dedicated to treating the whole person—one family at a time.
